Star Crossed Myth Review (Spoilers)

Star Crossed Myth is an App game that you can buy on any mobile device. It is a game that is a story where you get to make choices for the main character that leads to a different romance for each character you can choose. Star Crossed Myth, or as I'll abbreviate it as SCM, is made by a Japanese company called Voltage Inc. And yes this means these games are dating sims.
But they are also like mangas in a video style form. Now I have three other games made by Voltage Inc that I'll review later. And trust me I'm only scratching the surface with these few. Voltage Inc does make American or Western styled games as well with the drawings being more similar to our comic drawings. But either choice the stories are really well done.
So back to SCM, in this game there are two prologues you can choose from. The first prologue has six characters you can choose from at this moment. In the first prologue the story goes that you an employee working at a planetarium make a wish for the skies to be clear for an event your work is holding. When suddenly a ball of light hurtles towards you. Once the light disappears you are greeted by six men. Leon (Leo), Scorpio (Scorpio), Teorus (Taurus), Dui (Gemini), Huedhaut (Aquarius), and Ichthys (Pisces).
You discover they are all Gods who have sinned and thus punished to reside on the earth until they can erase their mark of sin. And they were sent to you a goddess from your past life, and you're not just any goddes you're soul is the goddess who gave her life to save the earth and was the one who decides fate. You have no clue about your past life or anything on how to remove the Gods sins. But in the end you go to your works event after the meeting with the Gods, assuming it was just a dream.
Once you get to work the Gods show up, they make the event even more exciting but a small boy gets too close to the edge of the building and falls over. You grab him and pull him to safety but the momentum causes you to fall over the edge. You then can choose who you want to rescue you.
Now before I get into Prologue two I'm gonna tell you a small bit of the character I chose. Or well the two characters I chose from the first prologue. Huedhaut was the first character I chose because of his introduction. Heudhaut when he first meets you sees the stars in your eyes, a reminder of your past life. They way he reacted really piqued my curiosity in why he was so torn about the stars in the main characters eyes. So I choose his story, and it was so good and well written. Not only was the lead up into the actual romance realistic but the reveal of the main characters past life was even more amazing and beautiful. The story also pulls at your heart strings with the pain Heaudhaut suffered in your past life and more.
Now the second character I chose was Ichthys, he is the most mischevious and playful character in the whole game. He always pulls pranks and his story seemed like it would be fun and adventerous. And it was, but it was also very sorrowful and serious. Despite him being a God he is mortal and not immortal. So he knows that he will die and in order to keep the main character from hurting he tries to end it in a more serious way. But there is no way that could happen despite his death being so close.
Now I'm not going to get too far into their stories because well the game is worth the purchase. And if I'm saying that then it very much is worth it since I rarely spend money on things that don't make me smile and feel good. So let's go onto the second prologue.
Now I was silly and started with the second prologue because of the character Zyglavis. So in the second prologue you can choose, Karno (Cancer), Zyglavis (Libra), Partheno (Virgo), Krioff (Aries), Tauxolouve (Sagitarrius), Aigonorus (Capricorn).
Now in the second prologue you have helped the previous Gods remove their sins but you didn't romance any of them. While going from your home to the store you are confronted by two minions of the under realm kings or dark king. You're rescued by Zyglavis and Karno in time, and then are taking back to the mansion where they explain that your soul is what the dark king is after. Your soul apparently can fully free him from his prison and so they have been instructed to protect you.
So when I made the choice for Zyglavis I didn't know he was the God of Libra, and Libra is my sign. I was a little giggly after choosing him but he was very strict and very much the God of the scales of justice. But his story was so well done.
He is stiff and serious but in the story you learn of his softer side and you find out some interesting things including why he punishes but why he does it to better people. Now sadly for now they only have two stories avaliable for the second prologue. The other characters story I want to do is Tauxolouves story, so as soon as that comes out I'll put it up here.
So final thoughts.
Is the price of the game worth the experience and tale?
HECK YES! It is about 4 USD for the bigger episode stories and then 2 USD for the smaller episodes. But the stories and the way the characters are built up is really well done. Also the pictures you get at certain points you are allowed to download and keep forever.
Is it a good game?
Depends on what a game is for you. For me a game can be anything from stealth and shooting to a story led game where I just make choices and nothing else. But some people really need more to their games and this won't be their cup of tea. They do provide free episodes for you to test and see if you would like it.
Is it a good story?
YES! The stories are so well done. Each character is so unique and they all have a secret that is fun to learn and explore. The way they are protrayed is realistic in the sense of it ever happening. The romance is also very believable with things building slowly.
Would I buy it again?
Yes, Voltage Inc and those who worked on this clearly care about the customers and giving them a good story and fun game. It is also a chance for me to give more to people who make these sorts of games. When I really like something I am more willing to give more in order to show them I support what they are doing for us the consumers. I don't regret buying this game it is worth every penny and I can't wait for the other characters stories to come out soon.
So if you enjoyed what you read and think this game would be good for you too then go buy it. I promise this game is more of an interactive book but those are always fun and enjoyable. I know many people will enjoy this game.

(Hey guys hope you enjoyed this review. Next week for our review I will be reviewing a book company called BookByYou. I have three books from them and will love sharing my reasons why buying one of these great books is worth it. See you next time!)
